Brimpts Farm
The Communal Space:
For our 4 nights away we are staying in the middle of the moor at Brimpts Farm. A working Dartmoor farm near Pixies Holt up the hill from Dartmeet.
The elevated Haystore is an integral part of The Barn. Its solid granite walls, rough hewn timbers and an old fashioned country wood-burner create a warm, welcoming backdrop of rustic charm. It is a versatile living space with breathtaking views over the Dart Valley.
It has a large communal space where we will eat and socialise. Which is the perfect location for building community, hosting workshops, having discussions and musing around the log burner. It also has a smaller lounge area.
The sleeping accommodation:
All rooms are en-suite and shared, mostly with 2 beds, spread through out the renovated barn.
The Barn is a detached building that has been converted to accommodate larger groups, offering ten bedrooms.
When we looked around, the building was welcoming and clean and we're really excited to be hosting the residency here.
The grounds and location
On-site the farm is nestled in woodland and meadows with views across to Sharp Tor. It has a hot tub, walks and nature trails and we have amazing views from the barn.
